Goodguys 26th West Coast Nationals

With more than 3,000 entries packing the Pleasanton Fairgrounds, along with thousands of spectators, ‘Pleasanton’, as it’s fondly known, was again what we’ve come to expect from the Goodguys group…wall to wall excitement, with special areas for deuces, woodies, home-builts, pro-builts and the like, a manufacturers row, swap meet, race car display with daily ‘fire-ups’ of nitro burning dragsters as well as 3 buildings jam packed with the latest in street rod goodies…anything from shirts to hi-tech chassis, you dream it up, it was probably there!

For those arriving earlier in the week, there were daily tours of area hot rod collections and builders, as well as nightly parties at the host hotel...fun!

Add to this the live music, ladies displays, loads of food vendors, displays of bicycles, scooters and scale engines, well, the was something for everyone…if you went away bored, well,  maybe ya outta take up a new hobby…

A special display this year celebrated the 50th anniversary of the San Jose Roadsters, a ‘roadster only’ club with 20 members; the Club is one of four host Clubs for the Annual Roadster Roundup, alternating each year with Bay Area Roadsters, Los Angeles Roadsters and Valley Roadsters…Enjoy the show!
